Tzar told us over at his "Ols Slavonic Language" thread that the Cyrillic alphabet was created by the two Orthodox monks Cyril and Methodius in 9th century.The script was heavily influenced by the Greek, but nevertheless it was pretty original feat.
Do you know of any alphabet currently in use, that was invented by an actual person rather than having evolved from unknown beginnings or from another alphabet?
