First, the Crusades and the Portuguese arriving in Japan with Jesuits were too far apart. Second, it doesn't seem many converted from the samurai class, and the ones who did had an eye to trade. Third, it would make little difference because of the distance between Japan and the Middle East, the low numbers, and the desert terrain samurai would be unaccustomed to.
