As I believe Korean, along with Japanese, are part of Altaic language and share the same roots, I had already started the topic 'Japanese - Turkic' which still has got a long way to go. And this is for 'Korean - Turkic.

Koreans are probably the most genetically isolated people on earth (not counting small tribal groups)

Is Kazakh an Altaic language?  Kazakhs maybe the closest relatives that Koreans have genetically.   Perhaps their languages have some similarities as well.

Yes, Kazak is a Turkic language. Though, the common words here are present in almost every Turkic dialect.

Koreans, Manchurians, Northern Chinese and Japanese are known as the "superior asians" by some as they are genetically superior. Southern Chinese, vietnam/other SEA countries share similar DNA traits. Koreans however like to think of themselves of mongoloid decent to look cool or whatever.

The fertile plains of China is located in the East/South East coast...and as far as I know, those people who settled there are responsible for the culture of East Asia. The Han ethnic group extends beyond geographic barriers.

Tall, small eyes is a trait of northern East Asians.
Short, large eyes is a trait of southern East Asians.

Discussions about which languages are related are always interesting I think, but there's no reason to suppose that two groups of people whose languages are closely related are necessarily genetically related.

Recent research on early Japanese would appear to posit a tibeto-burman origin for Japanese. The Altaic origins of Japanese and Korean remain unproven. The genetic relationship seems not to exist. However their is a relationship between the language of Koguryo and Japanese,Korean language is apparently develped from the Sillan language. The connection with Turk's/other steppe dwellers could be cultural borrowings as the Koguryo polity was in a state of constant war with nations on their north and north-eastern borders.

What do you mean isolated? You mean the koreans are genetically pure without a single mixture of other ethnic background, ie Han chinese, monglians and japanese etc?

Who said that Manchurians are superior to Southern Hans? Personally I do not consider any race to be superior to any other because there is no such thing as a superior/supreme race. Many would probably agree so whoever said that is probably a nationalistic racist or something of the like.

bullsh*t!!! Turks always have explanation to link them to other best ones in order to show them that they are superior to any other races. I have met many Turks, some were even historians, who claimed that Chinggis Khan had been turk or Japanese are Gok Turks who settled in what is know Japan after making ships and sailing. Just like above some people trying to claim Koreans to be Turks without any prove.

Linguistically the Koreans, Japanese and Indonesians are closely related.  There is a theory which proposes the idea that the Neolithic culture known as the Jomon slowly spread out, first to the Korean peninsula then South to Indonesia as a result of being squeezed by the rising sea levels.  Personally I don't see how a connection with the Turks could be considered.

That being said, Hulegu Han, consider this a friendly caution and a suggestion that you read the Code of Conduct before your next post.

The connections with Austonesian languages are usually discussed in the case of Japan, cause it has some similarities with the former, but not in the case of Korean.

Korean and Japanese grammars resemble the grammer of Altaic languages, that's why the discussion of the similarities with Turkic languages is possible.

In Japan, proto-altaic people (who came from Korea) absorbed the previous Austroasians, however, in Korea proto-altaics more or less dominated.

For some reasons, some Koreans even say that they originate from "Mongolian tribes" meaning proto-Altaics.

Well, most of the classifications put Japanese and Korean as languages isolate. Which means that they can't perfectly fit in any known language group. However if you still compare them to those groups. Altaic group is the one which is the most similar one.

No, the Koreans are not "pure" Korean.  With the possible exception of Addaman Islanders, there are no such things as genetically "pure" people.

The Koreans on the Korean Penninsula, however, have had very, very few inter marrriages with other people.   This is especially true considering the relaively large population size of the Korean people.

The reasons for this very low intermarriage rate are many including
   - Cultural,  Traditional Korean culture does not encourage marraiage to non Koreans
    -  Geographical,  The penninsula is pretty isolated
    - Linguistical,  Their isolate language does not facilitate alot of mixing

As as side note, Japanese and Vietnamese are genetically isolated as well for many of the same reasons.   This is especailly true of the Japanese.
