Ron, no one called or accused you of being a spammer.  That post was directed at the actual spammer, betterman.

You are however, coming close to the trolling that got you the axe the last time.

GUESTS:

How many individuals are permitted to post, especially multiple posts, under the username of GUEST?

I think it would be fair if guests were permitted a set number of posts before being asked to become members.

I would imagine that this could be monitored by checking the IP addresses of the GUEST users.

What do you think?

Guests are only allowed to post in QA.  If you see a post by a guest elsewhere, that means their account might have been deleted, for whatever reasons.

We used to allow guest posters everywhere.  Was an open invitation to every spammer and troll on the web.

What "facility"?  The forum itself?  A subset?  A function?

As the term forum can in theory include the thread, subset, & function, then I guess yes will suffice. Smile

I am coolstorm from long time ago. I am back! Does anyone remember me?
I forgot my old password, so I made a new one. But it seems that I don't have permission to post everywhere. I know this is not the right place to post, but here is one of the few places where I can post.

Could we have a category for Scandinavian History? The group would deal with the history of Scandinavia and the Nordic countries. The discussions could deal with everything from the Vikings, via the Middle Ages to a more modern history. What do you think?

Bonde20, I'll give it some thought. Send me a PM, detailing what you'd like to see.

Why can everyone who doesn't belong to the part post there with a high hand? Forexample in Steppe central asia part someone that is not even a Turk posted a topic although he doesnt know anything just lies. Those make other visiters have wrong informations!! Please fix that , i think the best way is opening topic wherever anyone belongs .

There is, with some minor exceptions, no restrictions on where a person may post. Nor is there a requirement that a person be of a specific ethnic-geo-or for even that matter; an informed or well educated or knowledgeable individual, reference the subject matter.

If that were true we would not have open discussion.

Wrong information is refutable...and is done so thru open discussion.

The only thing that should concern anyone is that they comply in that discussion with the code of conduct.

Discussion or elucidating forum? If the forum is for discussion , it doesnt mean that it is for slander. Your words may sound good to others but they are not indeed because history of a people is not a game to say random things about. There are some rules and methods to discuss anything , if somebody is not sure and just wonders and thinks like "it may be ...." etc he or she must ask somebodies informed that belong to the part before claiming. Moreover as far as i see there is not a sufficient number of Turk users here to show the facts that are against the lies. And many people use google to get historical informations so they can see such claims and they may accept any lies as reals.
