The Kingdom of Hungary was established in 1000 by  Saint Stephen l, The First King of Hungary.
This was his Crown.
The famous "Bent Cross" atop the crown has become a symbol of Hungary. Originally the cross was upright but was bent when the crown was stolen in the eleventh century.

It is to different crowns fitted together. The lower part is the "corona greca" (greek crown) and the upper is called corona latina. They were made from different quality gold and in different time, so the name (Steven's crown) is perhaps not true. But now it is the holy crown of Hungary, it is representing the hungarian nation and the state even today.

The cross became bent indeed when the crown was stolen, or by one of the flight of the royal family. In that times everything was hold in leather boxes on the saddle, the crown fall down, the cross became bent.
