..hi..
..Can't say that i have watched anything outstanding recently, although 'There Will Be Blood' and 'No Country for Old Men' were particularly good. 'No Country' being marginally better i thought despite the end part drifting slightly....
..i have rented 'Nixon' for tonights viewing, quite looking forward to this film, however, when i get my hopes high, i tend to get disappointed..so i will try to be restrained..!
...i am currently making up for the lack in decent films to watch by (once again) going over the whole 'World at War' series on DVD..!!!!
..all the best....AoO....

....well, Nixon was a disappointment, although it did push me into reading some book info on the President...so not a complete waste of time!!!..
..finally got round to watching 'The X-Files-I Want to Believe'...i enjoyed it but i do not think it really fulfilled its 'movie' status and i suppose as a film, it would be only good if you were an X-Files fan(which i am )...it would have worked really well as a two 'episode' story as part of an X-Files series, but perhaps nothing more...still, it was great to see Gillian Anderson in all her glory once again!!!..what a fine lady...

Yesterday I watched 2 films:
- The Forbidden Kingdom: A bit lame but I enjoy most movies, so it was ok.
- Black Sheep: Quite disturbing but nonetheless fairly amusing and entertaining

Because Casino Royale wanted to get away from the movies and go back to Fleming's books. Also I might note that the earliest Bond film - Dr. No - didn't feature a whole lot of gadgetry. Bond himself didn't really use any fancy gear, just his wits and his Walther PPK, it was the bad guys who employed all the diabolical devices. Q didn't appear until subsequent films.

A damn awesome movie at that! What I found that even if you hadn't seen the anime it would still make a good detective/thriller (?) type ish movie

Pawn! I bought a box set of the anime today. Is the live action movie any good? Last movie I wathced was Sweeney Todd by Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, one of the best and bloodiest musicals I have seen in a while. The kind you'd buy the soundtrack of.

In the last two days, I've watched, Nacho Libre - which was a pleasant surprise, and very funny (more so if you're familiar with Mexican and Latino culture).
I also watched Stardust, which I expected to be rather childish, but it had a solid enough plot, and was quite funny at times too. I was very pleased.

Saw tropic thunder and get smart. Tropic thunder I was iffy on, get smart was entertaining.
I also saw the dark knight. I admit I was a critic going in, all this talk of how great it was etc. I was impressed, it was as good as batman begins, (not including the lack of liam neeson naturally ) which I thought was an excellent movie. Heath Ledger gave an impressive performance in my eyes. (after seeing it I agree with those saying he surpassed jack nicholson by a good deal) The joker is a fascinating character, unlike the original which was not. Its clear the new batman movies are dramas' based off comics, whereas the old ones were comics made into movies. (if that makes sense...) I consider the new ones substantially better. Even if one is a sceptic I recommend at least seeing it, one may be suprised or at least able to disagree from an informed point of view.
Edit: forgot to mention I saw the golden compass, it was rather strange, but okay overall, clearly they intend to make a sequel. Not sure whether I'll see it.
My elementary english teachers' would be simply appalled at how poor my grammar has become.

I've seen Australia.. starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.. The movie is quite different from most of the movies i've seen before.. Nonetheless, i did enjoy watching it. Hugh Jackman, despite of his talent, he is worth to be seen on screen. So all girls out there, go and watch.

I ve just seen two movies of Kurosowa : 7 samurai(although I ve seen it before) and Ran. I liked the 7 samurai better but still, the man is a genius. Best battle scene ever ! ( in 7 samurai). and it was made in 1954 !
