I see it often in dictionary etymologies. I was wondering if anyone can give me some info on it. Im guessing it had to do with the Normans.

The only thing I can write about Anglo French is an Our Father as far as I remember.
Li noster pere qui ies es ciels. saintefiez seit li tuens noms. Avienget li tuens regns.
