Mongol impact as a whole, was enormous. Example. Before the Mongol Empire, people in China had never heard of Europe, and the people of Europe, had never heard of China.

 The Mongol Empires did not create the silk trade road and that road existed thousands of years before them. Europeans knew Chinese silk and potteries since ancient times and through the silk road. In fact, since the Qing dynasty (3rd century BC) and Europeans can identify China.
