Hello everyone,
I am a grade 10 student doing a seminar about WWI literature. Our
thesis is that the government used literature as propaganda, and it
helped the British win the war. My part is poetry. I can't fool my
teacher (not that I intend to,) but he'll catch every inaccuracy - he
knows a lot. He never uses the textbook. Anway, I really don't know
where to start. I know what to find, but I can't find it. Please help.
-how did the people react to the poetry?
-specific examples of poems, including analysis
-In Flanders Fields
I'm guessing I should focus on British poets, aside from John McCrae.
This is a big task, however any help will do. Thank you very much.
