Peasants with nukes, that's what I find so disturbing.
I would send them all to ethnics lessons, but they believe that mastering the necessary technology is already enough for handling these weapons. These states with their medieval mind-set really need to catch up on the ethnical side, too. An ape with a machine gun is still an ape, if you ask me.
|
Medieval mindset? Howso? You have made a statement, justify it. War is something which is very modern and very current. And the use of nuclear weapons is something modern too.
An ape with a machine gun is still an ape, but an ape can't manufacture a machine gun. A nuclear power is country like a player with a trump card. No matter how strong militarily or economically any other country, the nuke multiply that with zero. A nuclear power can't be bossed around easily. Why do you think no one in the US wants Iran as a nuclear power. Its not that all of a sudden the US Nuclear deterrence is ineffective, just that US ability to influenece Iran would be severly jepordized.
Fortunatly for everyone involved none of the present nuclear powers, are interested in expansion (with the exception of India perhaps). The real trouble will be when a nuclear power will have expansionist designs against a non nuclear state.

The answer is not clear for thread.Pakistan has nukes and a good army, air forces,Iran is a petrol exporter country and did a lot of investment about defence but most of aircrafts out of order and armament quality is not clear. Turkey is in an economical crisis decade and this situation effected its defence consumptions too.But Turkish armed forces is good.I think Turkey is weak about air defence except F-16 fighters. Pakistan,Turkey,İran are candidates but the answer is not really clear...

The US is not afraid of nuke capability being aquired by more people. I think they just want to prevent what they call rougue states from aquiring them.

Off course Bosnia is, we survived fighting in middle of christian sea
for 300+ years. Can Indonesia a then colony of Netherlands say something
like that.
But, since nobody put what really counts in army and thats heart, where
we win, i would have to be serious, like i wasnt so far,and give my
ranking.
1)Turkey i think they are really strong, jets and all, technique is
good, weak naval power though, but i guess they always were weak there.
2)Iran much better navy then Turkey.Weaker airforce.Moral, i think they
have lot of those.Artilery they are matched with Turks.Long range
missiles, hands on winner Iran.
3)Pakistan well without nukes, it still has one of five best airforces
in the world. And it does have nukes. And expirienced, mountain fighter
Kashmir issue. It is formidable foe, and those that put Indonesia, above
Pakistan are wrong
4)Egypt, good army, but they could achieve better and bigger things, if
only they didnt have incompetent ruler like Sadat, and lately Mubarak
Then i would say
Indonesia
Malaysia
Kazakhstan
And few more,

I also wanna add that topic is the most powerful muslim country, someone compares the most powerful christian country??? Saudi Arabia is a rich country and spent a lot of money for modern weapons but this consumptions don't guarantee the army so powerful. In 1990 ,When Iraq invaded Kuveyt,S. Arabia had have F-15 fighters, etc modern weapons ... Why did they want to help from the US?

Im thinking overall, navy isnt just ''boats'' but all sea worthy
equipment, and on this issue Iran is clearly few steps ahead of
Turkey.Few more steps, to be precise. With latest groung breaking naval
thorpedo, i think they achieved that.
I said ''christian '' Sea.We defeated Serbs each and every time, since
dark ages, and yes thank you again mister ''Boutros Boutros Ghali and
Yasushi Akashi, for imposing arms embargo on Bosniaks, while we were
dying, and couldnt even defend ourself.
For more those who like or love history just type
Bosnia 1737
Bosnia 1791
Bosnia 1834
You might be interested in what you might read then.I dare you to type that in your google machines.
Further more, i dont wish to argue. If you really can demonstrate
complete and total naval achievments of Turkish army, or better yet
navy, comparing to toys Iran already has one, well then im ready to
listen.

In pure army & air force terms, why do we forget Kazakhstan ? They even had nuclear weapons, much more than Pakistan, which claims strength based on nukes.

A navy's force must measure with its war platforms and their quality,quantity...To say Iran Navy is powerful because they have a underwater rocket or torpedo probably copy of russian va111 ,not a right focusing to the subject, i think. For example A country has 1000 M1-A2 tanks and B country has 4000 RPG-7 ,with your focusing style B country more powerful???If we discuss about Turkish navy and Iran navy ,this is real fault...If you say Turkish and Greek navy,it's discussable but Turkish-Iran navy comparement is only ridiculous.

US has stationed nukes on Turkey's soil, is the correct expression. Not that Turkey has nuclear weapons.
