This is to discuss the legendary back stabbing of our real heroes of India, byt the Congress party.
It is well known that Congress did'nt do enough to protect Bagat Singh, and Jawaharlal openly divluges secrets to the British about the movements of Subash Chanda Bose...
Now we didnt know is another back Stabbing of the Alluri Sita Ram Raju, who led a rebellion with the tribals of "Agency area" in the Northern Andhra Pradesh. It took British 2 years to crush the rebeliion and a comapny of Assam Riffles and malabar Special Forces. What the movement needed was publicity but guess whatthe Congress controlled media of that day has done "
"
A             part from the Raj, quite a few plains leaders, including top Congressmen, opposed him. Several in 1922-24, called for suppression of his revolt. In the Madras Legislative Council, leaders like C.R.Reddy opposed even an inquiry into the causes of the revolt until it was crushed. "

"   Even the 'nationalist press', as historian Murali Atluri points out, was hostile. The Telugu journal, The Congress, said it would be "gratified" if the revolt could be put down. The Andhra Patrika attacked the rebellion.   "

The irony is after he was shot dead without trail at the age of 27, as all ways the Congress Praised him as a martyr, but when he was alive it accused and damned and sugested the British to crush the movement.

Now Alluri Sita Rama Raju is a hero and of the Andhra people, who sacrificed his life for the independence of hi mother land.  HE organised the tribals who were severly persecuted by the British by bannign them from entering forest for their living and exploting themas slaves, Rama Raju took upon his self and declared full scale war for independece starting with bows attacking Police stations and then accquiring arms and gun powder.
The nationalist press then desisted from advertising thus killing the publicity of the uprising...

I agree aarya. Congress and Gandhi are much overrated. If it hadn't been for armed resistance the british wouldn't have left.

Hello Aarya,

Congress also played a vital role in the Partition of india.

Indepndence of India was in progress (1944-1947)

M A Jinnah & Sardar Patel were the obvious candidates for Prime ministership as per seniority. But it was decided by the high command (Gandhi) to give this seat to JawaharLal Nehru in 1945-46 During all party summits held at Mumbai and Lahore.

Gandhi could easily avoid partition by electing Jinnah as PM of India.

I agree Ashok,
Jinnah may not have been needed to be elected PM, but it was Gandhi's involvment and influence in Congress which caused the muslim league to split off.

It was the Congress's rejection of the Cabanit Mission Plan, whic caused the league to push for full indepedence.
