There are still some people who denies that Attila wasnt a Turk but have they ever read something about Attila's family ??

for example

Attila's father Muncuk=Boncuk (Turkish)
Attila's uncle Aybars= Ay(white) Pars(wild animal)
Attila's son Dengizik = Sea storm
Attila' grandfather Uldiz=Yıldız(star)
Attila's grand grand father ( Grandfather of Uldiz ) Balamir = Bala(child) Mir= king , children king

It is obvious that Western Huns are Turkic;)
also you can also find the answer in Orhon tablets
Bilge Khan says "the Turks who went to the west where are you? You all dead ... Turk if you will go out ...You are going to be dead"

its nonsense cause if people are proto-turkic , there is a suggestion that turkic people who came after them are somehow different than the proto-turks. Huns are just people who left their home earlier than other turkic tribes. Its a turkic thing to migrate and always search for better locations for your people.

This translation not right. BARS is not Pars-wild animal LOL
Bars is Mongolian name which means tiger or snow leapord. This name widely used in central asia among Kazakh and Kyrgyz

Attila's son Dengizik = Sea storm)
Dengizik- In Mongolian language, there are same word TENGIS - тэнгис-  which means SEA.

Why is it so important for Turkic people to prove everybody famous is Turkic? Please don't take offence at the question, but there are so many topics about who and what is Turkish, and I dont see many other nationalities doing this....
Is it a national pride thing, or is it just curiousity?

That's not an answer to my question. There are many heroes in the world, all peoples have their heroes. Why do Turkish heroes have to be reconfirmed all the time?

people try to claim him by claiming his name but I think it comes from the turkish words Ata (Father) and Il (Land)

Mongolians don't claim Attila as Mongol, but we all know that HUNNS and TURKS were from territory of MONGOLIA.
I recognise Attila as HUNN, not turk.
I just noticed the language similarity and mentioned it.

Hungarians can claim more than Turks
No more argument

He was definately Altaic, Turk or Mongol, I never ever heard of him being a Goth

I think the problem is that Turks have heroes over such a wide geographical area that as can be expected sometimes people living in areas which are not of a Turkic population will claim these heroes as their own while the Turks will naturally explain that they were actually Turk.

A classic example would be Baybars, its certain he was a Turk but in Arab folklore and in the Levant areas Arabs see Baybars as an Arab and a Great Hero. Some find it hard to realise what he actually was.

This ofcourse leads to problems like were having on the post. These people were loved by the people who now live in the lands but also by Turks because that's what they were.

Zorigo I dont have to claim anything , its a fact he was turkic, and you have to know that only a small part of hungary are descendants of Atilla and the Huns. The Huns were a multi-ethnic tribe when they got to Europe !!

I'm not trying to start any arguments here, but what is the relationship between the Turks and Mongols, are they from the same stock, or did one precede the other. Just curious.

Thanks.
