Sid Meier's Colonization was my first Computer Game (Amiga 500) in the early 1990th. i have it still installed on my pc, playing it from time to time.
is anyone else here who like that game , or am i the last dinosar ?

I rather liked the game, but recently tried playing it again and
couldn't get into it. The Mac version looked and felt better IMHO.

It runs in windowed mode in XP for me, at least it did last time i tried it.

By the end of September the new Game Civilization IV - "Sid Meier's" Colonization was released. I dconsider to buy it, perequisite my bank will reopen it's counters once again.
Has anyone of you edifying informations about the game?

Civ 1 was class. Civ 2 was the best. Civ 3 and 4 were over-elaborate, poor imitations of the second one.

I've got it and spend the last two weeks to clonise the American continent once again and again...
No time to visite our forum anymore.
My first impressions are good. Although i usually don't play computergames, cause my free time is very limited, i think back to the early 1990s, as i played the first version of this match.
Many things are similar, better graphics and contoling.
But it's very hard to hit the mark, the revolution in 1792, even at the easiest level.
For all friends of games of strategy: to be recommended

i've played Freecol (an freeware version of the game)
i like it, but i've never finished it. it was way too hard for me.
