In 1949 China had the first communist revolution of Asia. This was joined by North Korea in 1948-53 and Vietnam, Laos and Combodia in 1972-3. President Truman's domino theory seemed to be comign true. But in the recent years, the trend has reversed with mnay countries joining globalization of the market economy. Why have Asian countries vacillated between communism and capitalism? Speculate the history and what lies in the future for South Aisa? (pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh). THANKS
but the first Asian country to ebcoem Communist was Mongolia.
Maybe they were "communist" before the communist ideology was born? Did "communism" made a significant difference on the way of life of the average mongolian?
