u make an interesting observation.....yet on which historic 'model' are u making/basing the analysis? ..ancient....classical..... mediaeval...colonialistic period or neo--colonialistic? .....and as such does this merely encompass military power?..... or a combination of strengths.... for example military....economis.....political influence.... etc...would very much like to hear your view. thanks.
You still misunderstand the reality of the North American economy, and of the lack of specie to satisfy the minions of Lord North.
As with some garbled understanding of "ideological revolt," and of John Locke, you are still equating a 20th century capitalist understanding of political economy with the sense of the rights of man of the 18th century. A grave mistake! Unlike modern life, it was not always about the money.
Sorry for not being able to see the difference when one bunch of effete, greedy, imperialistic, self-serving, slave owning, genocidal, land grabbing, murderers are replaced by another bunch of effete, greedy, imperialistic, self-serving, slave owning, genocidal, land grabbing, murderers and hold that latter higher esteem.

Now, ......really. That post sounds like something posted on All Empires (imperialist; genocide, all the usual. Is Beylerbeyi back by chance?)
But I like hyperbole................ it has more pzzzazz
As for the British, surely I don't need to quote an example to show they were imperialistic and genocidal. As for the American revolutionaries, check out Harmer's Defeat, St Clair's Defeat, The Battle of Fallen Timber and the Ohio Indian War. How many American revolutionaries were in the government and party to that imperialism and genocide?
P.S. "You fascist",
Has anyone on the forum ever considered the real possibilty that me and Beylerbeyi are in fact the same person using a proxy server?
