Painting by Riza 'Abbasi, Isfahan, 1630

Painting by Riza 'Abbasi, Isfahan, 1630. From the end of the 16th century, the human figure becomes more important in paintings and the subjects and treatment are sensuous. Drawings and paintings have a calligraphic quality.

Here you go.

Let's compare this painting with those as show below, done by Tang Ying(1470-1523) , Ming Dynasty, see any similiarity?Wink
The one you showed us was done in 1630. All of them have a calligraphic quality.

I guess that on the first picture Erci the pilots of flying carpets are preparing to take off. On the second picture the airport staff on the control tower is taking care for their safety in the air and shouting which direction should they fly to avoid colision with other carpets. Its a famous pictures series called "Air Arabia".

beautiful painting Erci, but why those painted individuals were praying on the roof of their houses instead of inside a mosque?
Looks like the imagination of an orientalist Approve
