16 Ordibehesht, Mehr = Friendship
1937: Heads of Comunist party of Iran arrested by Reza shah which was followed to eliminating of party.
1961: Shah appointed Ali Amini as Prime Minister.
Ali Amini (19051992) was the Prime Minister of Iran from May 6, 1961 to July 19, 1962. Born in 1905 in Tehran, his grand father was a chancellor of the Qajar Dynasty. He completed his studies first in Darolfonoon and then in France where he graduated with a degree in Law from Grenoble University, followed by his Ph.D in Economics from Paris. He became involved in politics through the help of Ali Akbar Davar who gave him a position in the Judiciary. At the age of 37, he was selected as a Minister to serve in the cabinet of Ahmad Ghavam. His tendencies were pro-American to the extent that made the Shah uncomfortable. Muhammad Reza Shah in particular distrusted Amini's popularity and friendship with John F. Kennedy. During the 1950s, the Shah came under increasing pressure from the United States to appoint Amini as Prime Minister. Amini was finally declared Prime Minister during the John F. Kennedy administration, as he was close to the Democratic Party of America. In 1962 he was replaced by Asadollah Alam. With the election of Richard Nixon into the White House in 1968, Ali Amini was put aside and replaced by the Shah's close friend, Birjand landowner Asadollah Alam. Later on, during the Jimmy Carter
adminitration, he attempted a comeback into Iranian politics at the age
of 70. He served as advisor to the Shah during the final days of the Pahlavi Dynasty. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Amini http://www.iranianshistoryonthisday.com/FARSI.ASP?u=&I1. x=23&I1.y=11&HD=16&HM=2

Greetings,
On may 6th 1971, Deniz Gezmi, a leader of the socialist revolution movement in Turkey was executed along with two of his comrades, Yusuf Arslan and Huseyin Inan.Deniz Gezmis was one of the most important historical figures of the socialist and revolutionary movement in Turkey, especially for the anti-imperialist struggle of the youth. A student in Faculty of Law in Istanbul University, and then, a student leader, Gezmis signified a new page for the history of leftism in Turkey, which indicated the rise of the anti-imperialistic struggle in the 60's.
