sharrukin would be a better person to ask. However, Sumerian, to my knowledge was not a Semitic language, and it is unlikely they would have borrowed a Semitic word for something as elementary as "god", considering that they were the older and superior civilization in the area. It is always possible that the word was original from Sumerian in the first place though.
