can we enlarge the size of our avatars? i mean..there is really no point in allowing people to have avatars when it's so tiny and compressed and distorted that nobody's gonna see what's in your avatar pic.
fair dinkum we might as well get rid of that function... .... ..

In my mind, the current size is a fair compromise between functionality and aesthetics. If bigger it will be difficult to go through the topics and will dominate the page.
So I say that the current size is ok, but that's just my opinion...

I'm not sure that we neeed to change it to much larger - I have a feeling that - for my machine at least - the graphics are one of the things slowing the load time of the pages - I have noticed a drect correlation between the number of graphics on a page and the load time involved - the more graphics we include as part of the structure of the forum - the longer it is going to take.

Have you seen forums that have a "low fi" function where everything is
reduced to plain text and no graphics? Those are really great for speed
and they should have something like that for WWW.
