Hurrah for red clay, you started the twentieth page! One small step for a tomato, one giant leap for mankind. Taking about babies I was wondering about do you pronounce to-mate-o or to-mart-o? I mean to-mate means babies may be produced. Yet tom-mart-o rhymes with castrato which means babies are not produced at all. But to say cas-straight-o (see to-mate-o) means tomato babies for there is something left to get straight.

The tomato works in subtle ways. You are starving for a pizza and tomatoes comes to mind (with extra cheese and pepperoni).

Is it close to the season where tomatoes everywhere should be getting ripe?

Unless we are already in August the only thing ripe around here is your sense of humor. Wait till the Tomato Master reads this.

Well it's still just a little early in the North East,  Ripes don't come in until July.  But Ponce can be confident that Northman and I will be waiting for him.

This thread is just for me to reflect on the fact that there are no such things as tomatoes.

Since most of us should agree that tomato is something out of ordinary, perhaps we should consider the fact that it's some kind of allotropy, which is responsible for series of confusion and frustation. Just look at how many pages there are in this thread.

I know, I'm rambling, I'm complaining. I'm sorry. Continue with the discussion...
