I recently saw the film Joyeus Noel, very touching, put me to tears!

Here is a plot outline: On Christmas Eve during world War I, the Germans, French, and Scottish decide to cease fire and celebrate Christmas together.  The story centers around a Scottish priest, a German tenor, a Danish soparno, as well as the Scottish, German, and French commanders.

A multi-language movie with an international cast.  I am sure it is a film all AE forumers would enjoy!

Have you seen it?  Any thoughts?

No, I haven't seen it. But thanks for the recommendation. I love multi-language movies with an international cast.

It will be on my "Amazon.ca" to-buy list. (Is it out on DVD yet?)

I've seen it last February, and enjoyed it immensily. I think it did great in capturing the spirit of those rare events that took place in the war. Both funny and very dramatic.

Wow, looks pretty good. However, I have not seen it. The Christmas Truce was a very important event in World War I, and this movie seems to recognize that.

It is playing in Theatres in the U.S. and Canada, I believe, although the movie has been around for a while in European countries.
