Kurds have existed in history, for a very long time, the arguments about this have been clearly laid in other threads.
while allot of countries in that region didn't exist by their name/borders for longer than 100 years ago, so this line of debate is a non point in terms of rights.

"Vulpes Vulpes Kurdistanica"...
Didn't the Turkish regime change the name to just Vulpes Vulpes?

They don't speak enough about the Kurds, because we have never taken hostages, never hijacked a plane. But I am proud of this.

Iraqi Kurdish leader ready for dialogue with Turkey
ANKARA (AFP) - The president of Iraqi Kurdistan called on Turkey for face-to-face talks to end high-running tensions over Turkish Kurd rebels based in his autonomous region in northern Iraq, in a television interview broadcast on Monday.
His appeal coincides with remarks by Turkish officials that they are ready to meet Iraqi Kurdish leaders to discuss the problem, contrary to earlier threats by Ankara of a cross-border military operation to crack down on the rebels.

^ thats a peice of hopeful news. It is a more effective way of dealing with any differences. Talk it out (with no preconditions) and kill off any mis-understandings.

He dreams an independent Kurdistan, he says "40 million Kurds will have their own state".40 millions of course includes Turkey Kurds.
He is at the opposite side of Turkish view.

Isnt that the name of a fox? I dont know how it proves the historical existence of a place called Kurdistan.
Anyhow if i discovered a new species tomorrow i can call it what i want. So the naming was down to the person who discovered it not the scientific community, and because it was politically motivated was why Turkey doesnt recognise it as Vulpes Vulpes Kurdistanica.

Why bother with silly animal names? You can always look at the Karnamak e Ardashir e papakan for 1700 year old evidence of a historical Kurdistan. There is description there of how Ardashir defeated the "king of the Kurds" in today's northern Iraq.

Ardashir may have defeated the "king of the Kurds" but thats North Iraq. Vulpa V. Kurdistanica is in Anatolia.
